Tiruppur City Municipal Corporation, Tiruppur Exporters Association (TEA), and The Hindu Group jointly undertook an initiative to publish and launch a Coffee Table Book on Tiruppur District. The book was released on 03 March 2026 at the Tiruppur Exporters Association.
Thiru M. P. Saminathan, Hon’ble Minister for Tamil Development, Information and Publicity, Government of Tamil Nadu, released the book. Padma Shri Dr. A. Sakthivel, Honorary Chairman, TEA and Chairman, AEPC, received the first copy in the presence of Thiru N. Dinesh Kumar, Hon’ble Mayor, Tiruppur City Municipal Corporation; Thiru Narnaware Manish Shankarrao, I.A.S., District Collector, Tiruppur; Thiru M. P. Amith, I.A.S., Corporation Commissioner, Tiruppur City Municipal Corporation; Thiru K. M. Subramanian, President, Thiru. Rajkumar Ramasamy, Vice President, Thiru N. Thirukkumaran, General Secretary, Thiru. R. Gopalakrishnan, Treasurer and Thiru Kumar Duraiswamy & Thiru. M. Anand Joint Secretaries of Tiruppur Exporters Association; Ms. Soundarya Preetha M., Deputy Chief of Bureau and Thiru Babu Vijay R. A., Assistant Vice President – Circulation of The Hindu Group.
Titled “Made in Tiruppur – Every Stitch a Story”, the book has been brought out by the Tiruppur Exporters Association, The Hindu Group, and the Tiruppur City Municipal Corporation. It captures the district’s rich history, its rise to a leadership position in the garment industry, and its multi-sectoral growth. With insightful chapters and vibrant visuals, the book follows a green palette, reflecting Tiruppur’s aspiration to become a destination where sustainable practices guide industrial growth.
