A Trade Outreach Programme was organised by the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) in association with the Trichy Customs Commissionerate at Padmashri Dr. A. Sakthivel Auditorium in Tiruppur on 12.03.2026.
The programme was presided over by Dr. A. Sakthivel, Chairman (AEPC, IKFA) and Honorary Chairman of the Tiruppur Exporters’ Association (TEA).
Officials from the Customs Department briefed exporters on schemes such as Authorised Economic Operator (AEO), Manufacture and Other Operations in Warehouse Regulations (MOOWR), and the Self-Sealing Procedure (SSP), outlining their benefits for exporters.
An Inspector of Customs stated that 510 grievances had been received through the Thunaivan portal, of which 435 were resolved, facilitating refunds of about ₹1.61 crore to exporters.
