Dr. A. Sakthivel, Chairman, AEPC congratulates Commerce Secretary Mr. Rajesh Aggarwal on the coming into force of the India–UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA), paving the way for stronger trade ties, enhanced export opportunities, and sustainable growth for the sector.
Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal presented the Certificate of Origin to Dr. A. Sakthivel, Chairman, AEPC, in the presence of UK High Commissioner to India Lindy Cameron, marking the operationalisation of the India–UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), which comes into force today(15.07.2026). This landmark agreement is set to strengthen bilateral trade and create new opportunities for India’s apparel export sector.
