Dr. A. Sakthivel, Chairman of the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC), has been elected as the new Chairman of the Bharat Tex Trade Federation (BTTF) at its 12th Board Meeting held at Le Méridien, New Delhi.
Under his leadership, Bharat Tex 2027, scheduled from 31 March to 3 April 2027, will focus on strengthening India’s textile and apparel exports, expanding global market access and positioning India as a leading global textile hub.
Dr. Sakthivel expressed confidence that Bharat Tex 2027 would emerge as a mega global event, showcasing the Prime Minister’s vision of “Fibre to Fashion” and the 5F concept. The anticipated India–EU Free Trade Agreement and India–US Bilateral Trade Agreement are expected to create significant opportunities for the industry
